Narrative Care Practitioners are urgently needed wherever our Referral Network identifies and refers clients struggling with chronic stress!

Narrative Care is a well balanced therapeutic approach aimed at people struggling with stress-related conditions and disorders, adhearing to neurobiological, neuropsychotherapeutic and Biblical principles.

The AINC partners with sponsors in order to subsidise the counselling efforts of Narrative Care Practitioners accredited with the AINC.

How to join our Professional Counselling Team

  1. Step One: Apply for individual membership of the AINC.                                
  2. Step Two: Acquire an 'Introduction to Narrative Care' certificate from the AINC.     
  3. Step Three: Acquire a 'Narrative Care' Certificate from the AINC.         
  4. Step Four: Acquire a 'Pastoral Narrative Care' certificate from the AINC.
  5. Step Five: Register with the AINC as 'Narrative Care Practitioner'.      

Narrative Care Training

The AINC offers the following training opportunities for counsellors acceredited with another legitimate counselling asssociation or federation:

  1. Certificate Course: 'Introduction to Narrative Care'. Prerequisite - Individual membership of the AINC. Four modules. One hour per module.
  2. Certificate Course: 'Narrative Care'. Prerequisite - Certificate: 'Introduction to Narrative Care'. Twenty modules. One hour per module (prior reading, lecture, practical exercises).  
  3. Certificate Course: 'Pastoral Narrative Care'. Prerequisite - Certificate: 'Narrative Care', plus written statement of faith in Christ Jesus. Ten modules. One hour per module (prior reading, lecture, practical exercises).

Dr. Johann Eloff sr

Pastoral Family Therapist and Certified Clinical Neuropsychotherapist (Good News Counselling Clinic: Brisbane).

Specialises in helping families and family members strengthen their resilience in the face of extreme distress, and minimising the negative impact of distressing circumstances on their lives.

Ph.D. in Stress Therapy (Pastoral Family Therapeutic Approach, based on Neuropsychotherapeutic principles).
BA degree as well as a B.Th., M.Th. and Ph.D. degree in Practical Theology.

  • Founding Director of the Australian Institute for Narrative Care.
  • Member of PACFA, CCAA, IACN
  • Former member of ACA and of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts.
  • Accredited Prepare/Enrich Facilitator.

He has been working in the fields of Family Therapy & Stress Related Conditions for more than 19 years.

Anita Maartens

Clinical Psychologist in private practice (Brisbane: Cleveland).

Provides specialist services in both psychotherapy/counselling, group therapy, workshop training to those who are eager to to improve the quality of their lives, achieve meaningful goals and attain a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

Works with children (5-7), as well as adults (20+), experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioural issues.

Ronelle Grobbelaar

Ronelle is a Provisional Psychologist. She has experience working with children and adults in a number of settings including government, non-government, occupational rehabilitation and community clinics. She has developed a wide range of skills treating a variety of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, social skills, coping strategies.

Ronelle completed a Master of Professional Psychology at USQ, and is currently completing her last year internship practicing as a provisional psychologist.

Provisional registration with Psychology Board of Australia.

Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
